Hear me read The Great Dance

Make our Children's Book and Curriculum Part of Your Legacy!

I am thrilled to share the Great Dance project with you. It bears repeating many times.

We are now in one of the most challenging times for our planet and species, and I am grateful that the poem I wrote decades ago is being brought to life as an intergenerational children’s book thanks to Marla Durden and Ruth Schowalter.

The heart-song of the book evokes the wisdom that the Great Dance treasures everyone’s dance as unique and essential, from the beetle’s to the North Winds, the smooth and ragged dances, and even the "falling down and getting up dances.” They are all sacred. Diversity is dynamic and vital to our interbeing.

And, there’s more! Marla and Ruth are creating a curriculum with materials to support educators, artists, and families to exuberantly express the poem in performative ways. As certified InterPlay leaders, they will incorporate InterPlay’s reliable and creative forms for exploration and play.

Since you are someone who knows life as a big, beautiful, interconnected dance, this is an opportunity to share that legacy with grandchildren, children, family, communities, and libraries.

When you contribute any amount, we will include your name at the end of the book. Use the GoFundMe link, Venmo, or PayPal.

Thank you for being part of The Great Dance!

Cynthia

Note: Contributions cover the costs of artists, publishing, and promotion. A significant percentage of the royalties will benefit children’s dance programs and other projects.
