On October 20th, I will dedicate The Art of Ensoulment Playbook to the Mother of Us All, Gaia, Goddess, Creator. I’ve never named the impact of the Divine Feminine on me or my offerings. It’s time to do so. The Art of Ensoulment rises straight out of the body, wisdom and soul of women and the queer folk wisdom needed to ensoul hope and guidance in our public arenas.

I confess I feel vulnerable because I’ve never directly claimed the Divine Feminine even though she runs through everything I am and do. Meanwhile, many of my friends inhabit Her Grace. I wonder, do they/you say so?

Through Selisse Berry, dear friend and founder of Out and Equal, I recently heard the Goddess call us to name, claim, and orangize around Her Fierce, Abiding, Compassionate, Relational Power Source, Her Life-Giving Labor, and Creativity. More shall be revealed… Meanwhile…

October 20th is my Sharing/Surrender Day, according to beautiful wisdom found in The Book of Houses: An Astrological Guide to the Harvest Cycle in Human Life by Robert Cole and Paul Williams. “Every year, the sun makes a complete cycle of ones birth chart, moving through the astrological houses as if they were months of the year.” I’m learning when it’s time to organize around visionary seeds, germinating them, seeing them in the sun, putting down roots, gathering, pruning, budding, pollinating, bearing fruit, and harvesting.

Four days a year are like holidays in one’s personal cycle. Sharing Day is one of the most vulnerable. Cole says that “To share does not mean to give anything to anyone. To share means to release all control, to surrender completely. It is an extremely vulnerable position to place oneself in.”

The Playbook Blessing on October 20th offers me a chance to open up more fully to you, to HER WAYS, and to allow for what this book is and isn’t as HER BELOVEDS.

I am certain that the Motherboard of Imagination must play a central role if we are to find creative, non-violent ways that free up the feminine from the deteriorated angst projected on HER. Through kinesthetic, visual, and every other form of imagination, we need to strengthen the empathetic, compassionate, sustainable solutions that are most natural to her diverse, expressive creation.

At the Blessing of the Playbook, Marla Durden, the book designer, will offer a prayer. I’ll read a selection, answer questions, and we’ll dance on behalf of the playbook, the Divine Feminine, and the growing group of Ensoulment Coaches as they share their magic with others.
