I love this map of ways adults play! Fascinating. At home I'm the joker. That side comes out when I'm at my most comfortable. I wonder about these styles in different environments? Do we have a dominate play type and then secondary and tertiary types? Kinesthetic would be the play type that I've felt the most at comfortable exploring in the world via dance classes, yoga, etc. Love this!
Great question. I'm learning to appreciate the many different kinds of diversities and people who are good at things I am not. Stephen, my partner, is so facile in the storytelling/acting world that he shares with our grand daughter. I flourish in side by side play focusing on creative projects. And, as always I want to remember that "weak" creative forms can open up the world when I need refreshment.

Ah, yes! I remember a similar teaching from Julia Cameron’s work. Thank you dear Cynthia.
